In a recent IT event, Samsung unveiled two new smart products to be launched later this year.  Samsung is expected to challenge its long-term rivals with the launch of their new products. Undoubtedly, Samsung amuses its audiences every time with new and improved innovations. Let’s see what they have for their customers this year.

Samsung Connected Home: The first product is a connected router – Samsung Connected Home. The function of this device bears a close resemblance with Google Wi-Fi. Users can create an isolated network to connect with all connected devices within 7500 square feet of radius. Users can use than one device to create a network of devices – similar to Google Wi-Fi. Besides, Samsung Connected Home can also act as a hub for unique devices running on more advanced IoT networks like Bluetooth Low Energy, ZigBee, and Z-Wave. Simply put, Samsung Connected Home is compatible with most smart devices. The price and release date of the product will be announced soon by Samsung.

Samsung Connect:  Samsung’s another product is an application that allows users to control all the compatible devices with their mobile devices. It will be similar to Apple’s Home app which was released previous year. The app will fill the void between mobile and connected devices, enabling users to control smart appliances with ease. The app will send commands from a user’s mobile device to Samsung Connected Home, which will forward the commands to other connected devices. However, the app will only allow users to control other devices through the hub.

Besides that, Samsung also mentioned the release of Samsung Smart Speaker. These speakers will use BI Intelligence for voice commands. Indirectly the spokesperson of Samsung said that the product would surpass the capability of Google Home, Amazon Echo, and Apple Homepod. But, the performance of this product remains a mystery. For now, we’ll have to wait and see how customers will respond to Samsung’s latest innovations.
